Hello fellow thinkers! I hope you had a wonderful holiday so far being with those you love.
As for me, I had thought to close out this year, to thank those who taught me the ropes of becoming a better writer and learning the ropes of becoming an entrepreneur.
Although I’m in the learning stages still, my mentors took the time to help me refine what I already had in my heart. Yes, you have to read a lot and stumble along the way, but it’s all well worth it.
Mentors…it’s very refreshing when someone supports your efforts, especially the gift of knowledge. As the old saying goes, “knowledge is power,” and it is.
So what does mentorship mean? To me, the word signifies someone who would go out of their way to teach you the ropes of what helped them become successful.
Honestly, when someone believes and encourages you, the learning and doing process makes accomplishing whatever you set your mind to with enthusiasm.
While studying for my degree, I was able to finish the second installment of the Firefly series, The Hunt for Emily and its currently in the editing stage with my publisher. Talking about staying busy!
The returning characters are just as interesting as the first. In fact, I loved writing about them, I started writing the third installment.
I’m not sure what I’m going to title it or when I’ll finish but, it’s going to be just as interesting as the first two.
So I say this, having a mentor is a blessing as they are guides to help when you need them, and I thank God for placing those who helped me fine tune my craft and pull out the best in me.
I wish you all a very happy and safe New Year and may 2019 bring you much success.
We all go through ups and downs…the key is getting back up and try again.
